About Us

Stewart Disability Law has focused on disability benefits law for nearly two decades. We understand the complicated Social Security system, and we want to help you receive the benefits to which you are entitled.

We bring legal and medical knowledge and experience together to provide you with the best representation possible.

Meet Thomas Stewart, M.S., PA-C, J.D.

Thomas Stewart brings together two careers — medicine and law — to give clients a decisive edge in the SSDI arena. As a Social Security Disability attorney with nearly 20 years of experience, Thomas has helped thousands of individuals with chronic illnesses obtain the benefits they deserve. He specializes in neurodegenerative and neuroimmunological conditions — such as Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and similar conditions — where nuanced medical evidence is critical to approval. While the firm’s focus is chronic progressive neurological disease, Thomas also regularly represents people with other chronic diseases and other medical limitations on a case-by-case basis. His medical background as a licensed Physician Assistant allows him to identify gaps in your medical record and work closely with your healthcare team to build the strongest possible case.

Thomas also represents clients in private long-term disability (ERISA) claims, and frequently manages a client’s SSDI and ERISA claims together — often charging only for the SSDI representation in these situations.
